As part of your preparation, you are invited to attend a day for engaged couples designed to encourage you, enrich your relationship and enhance your understanding of the Catholic Church’s teaching on marriage and family life.
This Group is intended to give men of the Parish the opportunity to meet together for a coffee and chit-chat in the hall once a week on a Tuesday after 10 am Mass. This invitation is extended to any man in the Parish who wishes to come along.
As St. Monica prayed for her son we pray for all sons and daughters: “We now humbly ask you to pray with us for our sons and daughters who have drifted away from God and we ask you to add your prayers to those of all mothers who are worried about their children”. If you are interested in joining an existing group or starting a group in your own parish, please email: Eleanor Jannetta at enojannetta@hotmail.co.uk
Our Synod identified three big ideas to define us in the generation ahead. The first is that we are a people of evangelisation, who actively reach out to those who do not know Jesus, or who have left or forgotten him. The second is that we are a Church of lay participation, where responsibility is shared appropriately among our people and clergy. The third is we are a “synodal”community, where we make decisions together, with everyone consulted.
