In St Charles’ Parish, we are in the process of refreshing and updating our safeguarding procedures in line with local and national guidance. As a result, we ask that all existing adult volunteers complete a simple form and return it to the church as quickly as possible. The forms and explanatory letters will be available in the porch for the next few weeks, so please take one if you are currently a volunteer e.g. Eucharistic Minister, Reader, Cleaner, Welcomer etc (if involved in more than one group, just one form is all that’s needed).

Unfortunately, we are not going to pursue the pilgrimage to Rome/Assisi next year. Energy prices and cost of living challenges at the moment, understandably, are making it difficult for people to make a commitment at this time. We will try again when the situation is more settled. Thanks to all who expressed interest.

In addition, the P4 pupils in St Charles’ PS who are now preparing for Confession and First Communion will be invited too. After Mass there will be refreshments in the hall. Invitations are being issued, however, if your letter doesn’t arrive, please come along anyway as we’d be delighted to see you!
